Housing needs for medical students varies depending on whether you are seeking to live alone, with roommates or have a family.
Due to the demands of medical school, it is wise to secure housing that would accommodate your growing needs for at least the first year or two. Some students may wish to find a home for the entire duration of their medical school to avoid the hassle and costs of moving every year. Others prefer to keep their options open as their lifestyles may change as an M2 - M4 with the introduction of clinical rotations at various hospitals.
Cost evaluation of renting vs owning:
Owning a home this early in your career may not make sense for many. However, depending on your financial situation, some students prefer to start early and invest in an home that they can call their own. There are several advantages to home ownership including building wealth and giving you the flexibility to make updates to the home. Home ownership can present opportunities for you to become a landlord and earn rental income. The cost-benefit analysis is something we offer to all clients who are interested in learning more.

How we work:
All our services begin with a phone/email conversation on your needs and timing with 24-48 hours of your contact. All of the incoming requests are personally vetted by a licensed agent within Moving Medicine Partners.
Exclusive agency:
Once we agree to mutually work with each other, we require clients to provide identification and sign an exclusive-buyer agreement. The exclusive-buyer agreement is a courtesy extended to us that says that the client is working exclusively with us. This means that clients are not allowed to work with other agents, on line or in person. This agreement can be terminated at any time by either party.
How we get paid:
Our fees for the work we perform are paid for by the landlord/owner at the time of lease signing for rentals or at the time of closing for purchases.
Showings and Home Selections:
Based on the medical school you are attending, your needs and budget, we will identify 3-5 housing options within 1-2 weeks. We will schedule showings either in-person or virtual depending on your location and availability. We are there by your side all the way through lease signing/closing and beyond. Once a client, you are always a client.
Online Shopping and Scams:
Beware of websites that promote availability of perfect looking apartments at an incredible price. There are many scams online. As licensed real estate agents, we use MLS and off market properties available within our network of licensed agents. We do not engage with online landlords/ property advertisements that cannot be verified through the MLS.
